The more observant of you may have taken notice of some changes around here recently. Although the site has once again undergone a visual refresh (something I am very pleased with this time around), the biggest changes are happening behind the scenes. For the past eight months, I have been hosting my web sites with DreamHost. Overall I have been pleased with their hosting service, with the occasional exception of some issues with downtime and sluggishness. All in all, it’s easy to recommend DreamHost to someone looking for a shared hosting solution. Their web panel and the services offered for the price are difficult to beat. That said, I have always been a power user, used to hosting my own web sites. Even in my early teens, I maintained web sites on my dad’s IIS server.
Welcome to the newly updated DannyStewart.com. In the sprit of the new year, not to mention the new Doctor, I’ve decided that it’s time for a bit of a change for the various facets of my online persona. That means a new look for DannyStewart.com, a new theme for my Twitter profile, and a new avatar across all of my various accounts. I hope you like the new design. As always, comments are welcome.
I’m immensely proud to finally be able to share that Restoration of the Daleks, the Doctor Who fan film that I scored earlier this year, is now available for viewing online. It was written by Luke Pietnik, and produced by Rob Ritchie.
My complete score is available for download here, and people who download the full album will receive a special, unused version of the Doctor Who theme (made for the film) as well.
Last weekend I undertook the daunting and long overdue task of cleaning out my closet. Inside, I found a box full of old Doctor Who VHS tapes I’d misplaced, one of which contained this gem. Hit the jump to watch (and apologies for the quality; the only way I had to digitize it was by recording it with my iPhone).

Making excellent progress on a new Doctor Who theme heavily inspired by Eaglestriker's "Dark Fairytale" mix on @whomix. [dannystewart]
There's a guy at my bus stop with a Zune. I literally laughed out loud when he walked by. [dannystewart]
